Prepared for landslides

Aguas Calientes Today was a very special day because all the people and Rupawasi Lodge participated in the inauguration of the great landslides alarm.
But we are aware of a disaster thanks to this alarm will be activated as soon as this disaster.

Estimados amgios queria compartir con todos ustedes, la linda experiencia vivida ayer. En el Rupawasi   recibimos el solisticio de verano ofreciendo un ofrenda o despacho a la Pachamama. El ritual fue conducido por nuestro amgio Benito , de la comunidad de Qeros, nos visito para celebrar esta fecha tan especial,  luna llena y eclipse lunar.  La ceremonia empezo con una ligera lluvia para luego transformarse en un tormenta y luego volver a calmarse a medida que se terminaba la ceremonia, una noche memorable. El despacho estaba compuesto por varios elementos, como hoja de coca, cebo de llama, dulces, nueces,y demas elementos, con mucho valor simbolico, lo que no falto fueron las buenas vibras de la gente, implorando por un buen año, una bunea salud, y por que finalmente el ser humano tome conciencia, respeto por y se hermanen unos a otros y dejen atras renocores  y empiezen el año con una energia renovada, para todos les deseo lo mejor este proximo año, los dejo con un lineas que escribi hace un tiempo para celebrar el solisiticio de invierno.

 
Por miles de años el mundo que conocemos estaba dividido en tres partes , Hanna-paccha, era el mundo de arriba de los dioses, todos los cuerpos celestes, dioses y espíritus, luego venia el Cay -paccha, el mundo de los vivos, con sus montañas, ríos, quebradas, lagos lagunas, la mama cocha, y todo lo que uno podía ver y sentir, ya abajo estaba el Ucju-Paccha, el mundo subterráneo de los muertos un mundo misterioso y oscuro. Pero también existían dioses y deidades alternas, una de ellas era Punchaylloq, este dios estaba representado por los rayos del Sol, era el que enlazaba los mundos, el que llevaba las plegarias al dios supremo, el que con sus rayos traía esa energía vital, esa luz portadora de vida y calor.
A sus dioses les dedicaban un culto supremo, ofrendando sus mejores productos, llamas vicuñas y alpacas selectas eran ofrendadas en ceremonias solemnes dirigidas por el sumo sacerdote Willac Umu y las vírgenes del sol las elegidas, también construían templos para honrarlos, con los acabados mas finos y perfectamente alineados para recibir los rayos del dios supremo en esa fecha tan especial el Inti Raymi, y así confirmar el poder divino, la ofrenda fue aceptada, los dioses están satisfechos, va ser un buen ciclo. Difícil dudarlo al ver ese momento mágico captado por el lente de una cámara, momento para reflexionar y no olvidar esa esencia que nos mantiene vivos y nos conecta con todo, siempre con respeto.

Machupicchu Cooking lessons

Here at Treehouse Restaurant we want you not only to taste our delicious flavors, but to take them home, that is why we offer this innovative service.

Do you want to learn more about delicious Peruvian cuisine? Join one of our cooking classes held every evening in our gourmet restaurant to find out all about it.

The Lessons: are held at 5pm in the evening. They will last around 1.5 hours and consist of a tour to the local market followed by a participative demonstration of 2 dishes from our menu. The price per person is US$35 and includes a glass of wine. All the food that you prepare is yours to enjoy!

Peruvian Cuisine: is widely regarded as one of the most delicious and diverse in the world. In the last few years its profile has been raising due to the recognition its unique ingredients, flavors, and fusions that are typical of our country. Thanks to Peru´s immense biodiversity, traditional dishes draw on a wide variety of fresh ingredients, from the constant supply of fresh fish to the incredibly tasty native fruits and vegetables. Historically Peru has a wide variety of influences, dating back to pre-Incan times and onwards–from the coastal regions, the jungle, the Andes and then from colonial times (Spanish, Italians, Japanese, Chinese, Africans, French and more). All of these factors have contributed to the richness and diversity of modern-day Peruvian cuisine.

Because we love for exquisite food, we have been sharing this passion for more than six years with our guests. We invite you to participate in this wonderful culinary experience.

No previous experience is needed, just the desire to learn and have fun!!

My godson says that this has been one of the top 10 meals of his life!!!, he wanted eat the bowl!!! fresh ingredietns, organic vegetables grown locally, and all prepared with care, gratitude and yes, LOVE. Also the staff fantastic, helpful, friendly and passionate.
