Machu picchu has a great diversity of birds in the Sanctuary, where in an area of only 32,590 hectares, to date 423 species of birds have been recorded and a further 40 or so species may well be expected to occur as research continues. Many of this species visit our grounds at Rupa Wasi Eco Lodge, this is due to the constant effort we do in preserving our gardens and native plants to attract more and more species.
